hello

I am currently banking with Chase for my business and will be migrating to another bank in the next few weeks. I opened a new business account with Key. When trying to setup the web connect with will not allow or offer to collect my user name and password for my new Key online banking that has been established. I continues to ask for User ID and Pin, which is a direct connection that I am not using, due to cost. I want Web connect which has been confirmed as available.

Thanks for visiting the Community, mgriffin422.

Before importing your bank data, make sure to update Internet Explorer to the latest version. This is to ensure you get the best experience when using the program. For detailed instructions, check out this guide: TLS 1.2 for QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.

Next, save a copy of the company file to avoid accidental loss. Once done, let’s go ahead and download the Web Connect file.

    Here’s how:

    1. Log in to Key’s website to download the .qbo file.
    2. Next, open QuickBooks and the company file you’re working on.
    3. Then, import the .qbo file

If you continue to get the same result, perform the recommended steps in this article. The guide is from the US, but it also applies in your region: Fix Web Connect import errors.

For future reference, the following link contains resources to help efficiently use the bank feeds feature. It's from another region, but the processes are also similar: Sync and match your bank account with QuickBooks.
