Sales Receipt style keeps on changing

Has anyone seen this “edit your sales receipt or invoice style to impress your clients” and then you did edit it but it keeps coming back to something really basic with not even a company name or sales/invoice number in it.

ofcourse I am now sounding like a disgruntled customer on a community forum, where else can I get help, I tried the chat - nothing, no email, no hotlines to call. I’m really dissatisfied.

Also, does anyone notice that quickbooks suddenly changes mobile interface like the latest one in issuing invoices?  I don’t understand why change something that works.

I understand your frustration with changing the sales receipt style in QuickBooks and the inconsistency you're experiencing, @Vinpaunan.

I know it can be disappointing when software doesn't behave as expected, especially when it impacts your business operations. Let me share insights into this matter.

It's possible that the template wasn't set up as the default when you changed the invoice style, which is why every time you create a new one, it uses the old template. That said, let's ensure to make the template you customize is the default.

Regarding changes in the mobile interface of QuickBooks for issuing invoices, software companies often make updates to improve user experience or add new features. While changes can be disruptive, the intention is usually to enhance the product. If you're finding the new interface challenging, you may consider expressing your concerns about the changes and suggesting improvements.

I'm also adding the following resources to help manage and personalise your sales receipts and invoices in QBO:

I don’t think so, I have been using the same default template for 3years, then suddenly it changed. I tried setting it back, it worked the other day, but now its back to that snapshot I just attached, do you see the receipt style I posted? It says on my preview that this is standard.

Thanks for getting back to us, @Vinpaunan. I'm grateful for the screenshot you've provided. Rest assured, I'm here to guide you through additional troubleshooting steps so you can customise your sales receipts in the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app.

In QBO, caches store temporary data to improve app performance and user experience. However, these may lead to various mobile app issues when they become outdated or corrupted.

With that in mind, there are several actions you can take to alleviate these issues and start anew with fresh cache data. Before doing so, make sure that you're using a compatible version of the app.

Here are some quick steps to fix most app-related issues:

    1. Switch the Wi-Fi data connection on your device to 4G (varies by device).
    2. Close and restart the app.
    3. Clear the app's data.
    4. Power down and restart your device.
    5. Uninstall and reinstall the app.

Additionally, I'm providing an article containing more in-depth information about the new release for estimates and invoice layout: See what’s new with estimates and invoices in QuickBooks Online.
