Question

Has anyone found a solution to the incorrect 'County' on the company address ? Quickbooks shows the county as just 2 letters.

When adding the company address, QB insists on me choosing a county from it's list, even if the address is a London address (yes, London is listed as a county on QB) The county is shown on sales invoices as just 2 letters, which makes us look unprofessional and incompetent - if we can't even get our own address correct, what impression does that give our customers ? QB advisors have said that there is nothing I can do to change this so am wondering if anyone's found a work around ?

I understand that you need the county to be displayed as the full name, not just a two-letter abbreviation, in your company address, bev38. Let me provide some information about this.

 

Using the full county name instead of just the abbreviation is important since you are offering products to your customers. However, this feature is currently not available in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

In the meantime, I recommend sending your feedback to our Product Engineers. They will review your suggestion and may consider adding it in a future update.

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions, explaining why this feature is necessary and how it would benefit your business.

Is there any way you can delete the county field from sales invoices completely as it looks awful.

Removing the county field alone on sales invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is unavailable, angelac3.

 

In QBO, removing the County field alone from sales invoices is unavailable since address details are grouped as a single block. As a workaround, to delete the County field, you must uncheck the 'Street Address' box within the custom form style.

 

However, this will remove the entire company street address, city, state, and ZIP code as well. Therefore, if you need to keep any part of the detailed physical company address, the County field will have to remain.
