Question

I am unable to connect my HSBC account to my new QUICKBOOKS account. It comes back saying 571? I have tried several times but still not working.

Hello, cameronheatingse.

Welcome to the Community. Let me share some insight about error 571 you've encountered while connecting your HSBC bank in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Error 571 means that you have either closed the consent page while connecting to Open Banking in QuickBooks, or you may have pop-up blockers on your browser that are active. This prevents you from completing the setup and proceeding to the transaction page.

To resolve this issue, disable the pop-up blockers on your browser and try to connect again. Alternatively, refresh the page to allow for the consent page to fully load.

Also, try logging into QuickBooks using private window or incognito mode and try to connect the bank in there.

For reference, let me share the Open Banking Connection Errors article. It outlines the steps on how to fix common online banking issues.
