It's possible that there are two accounts, kerryelly.

One that's active and the other hand that's already suspended. It's also possible that you're logged in to the inactive account, which is why it's saying that it's a read-only file.

Follow these steps on how you can verify:

  1. Log out of QBO and go back to the sign in page.
  2. Click the I forgot my user ID or Password link.
  3. Enter the email address that you used when you purchased the subscription.
  4. Open your inbox and open the email that we sent you.
  5. Reset your password and log back in to check if you're routed to the active account.

You can also reach out to our Chat Support Team. They'll be asking for more account details for them to verify your subscription and make sure we get this sorted out. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu and click Contact Us.
  2. Type in the description box that you're having issues with your subscription, then click Let's talk.
  3. Click Start a chat.

I'll be around if you need anything else.
