We have some information to share on why you are unable to resubscribe to your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account, Stephanie 5.

The reason you encounter an error message when trying to resubscribe to your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account is that it's no longer available for new subscriptions. Instead, you can switch to QuickBooks Sole Trader. It's our new, enhanced tool for self-employed individuals and includes all the features you're familiar with, plus new ones like sending estimates and setting financial goals.

You can do this on both the web and mobile versions of QBSE. Before you can upgrade, ensure to download and save your reports and accounting info, as you won't be able to access your old account after the upgrade process is complete. For more details about this, check out this article: Switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Sole Trader.

If you need to switch from QBSE to QuickBooks Online, refer to this article: Switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online.
