Question

Credit card is now closed and a new credit card was issued. I connected the new credit card without a problem but I want to move the old credit card data to the new one.

Hi there,

QuickBooks offers a versatile Banking feature which allows you to seamlessly manage your transactions. Don't worry, I'll be glad to show you how to move the old credit card data to the new one.

To successfully do this, I recommend downloading your old credit card transactions from the bank as .CSV files and importing them to QuickBooks. Here's how to download your bank transactions from your bank:

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card’s website.
  2. Follow your bank’s instructions for how to download transactions to your computer. Some banks call this WebConnect. Every financial institution has different steps.
  3. Make sure the date range for the download is at least one day before your oldest transaction.
  4. Download your transactions. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like your desktop.

Once you've downloaded the transactions, you can import them into QuickBooks by following the steps in this article:

Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

There you go. Now you can import your transactions into QuickBooks.

Give this a try and if you have questions, I recommend contacting our support team using this link. Otherwise, feel free to leave a comment below. I'll be on standby.
