As much as we would like your continued patronage, we respect your decision to defer your subscription with us @dantorrance-iclo,
Terminating an account can be done directly in your QuickBooks Online company file. Follow the steps below:
Sign in to your QBO account, then tap the Gear icon at the top right portion of your Dashboard.
Go to Account and Settings, and select Billing & Subscription.
Locate the payroll subscription and then press Cancel or CancelTrial.
Hit Continue to Cancel twice.
Lastly, answer the short survey and select Continue to Cancel.
However, if you can't do it from within the program, I recommend contacting our Support first. They are the ones who can check your account and can discuss your account and billing details. Here's how to contact them:
Go to the (?) Help menu, then select the Search tab.
At the bottom, select Contact us.
Enter the keyword Account Management and Billing in the What can we help you with? box.
On the next screen, scroll down to the Choose a way to connect with us section.
Choose Chat with us to initiate a discussion with a live agent.
After you cancel your subscription with us, you'll have access to the payroll data for one year. Before canceling, make sure that you have done the following:
Printed necessary financial and payroll forms and reports you might need in the future.
Paid any outstanding tax deposits and filed tax forms.
Make your own arrangements to retain the data after that time.
