I've got the same issue and I cannot find Settings and Account and Settings on my menu. I have QB Pro 2018. Can you step me through the process? PS, I had additional user copy in a separate location, which I sold to another business owner. I still have my company though. I also need to regain access the username and pw, which I've lost in the shuffle. I need to file my 941 report soon.
Welcome to this conversation, @BillHaugh. The steps provided by my peer apply to the Online version of QuickBooks. This is why you're unable to see those options on your end.
In QuickBooks Desktop, we can regain your access by using the Password Reset Tool to update your credentials. Then, let's restore your QuickBooks company file. Here's how:
In the Select Version drop-down, mark the radio-button for QuickBooks for Windows (All versions), then choose QuickBooks for windows (2019 or below) since you're using QB Pro 2018.
You can now renew your payroll subscription to use the service. Follow the detailed steps based on the alerts you get in QuickBooks in this help article: Update or renew your subscription. Then, ensure you update the latest payroll tax table each time you pay your employees.
