After you connect your credit card or bank account in QuickBooks Online, the system automatically downloads your recent transactions for you to review. An essential step to establish a connection (or update a connection) is to insert the username and password you use for your bank's website. If you don't have this information, you wouldn't be able to connect the bank account for an automatic feed. As an alternative to this, you can import bank transactions using Excel CSV files
