Thanks for sharing your concern about user access, Andy. I'll share my knowledge and expertise about it to help you upload receipts in the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app.
If you're using QBO Simple Start, the basic version, you are the only user who has access to the account and performs tasks. Visit this link for more details about the specific limits: Learn about usage limits in QuickBooks Online.
With this, you may consider uploading them personally into the app. I'll write down the steps how:
Open the QBO mobile app.
Go to the Menu ≡ icon and select Receipt Snap.
Click the Receipt camera and snap a photo of your receipt.
Choose Use this photo and then tap Done.
On the other hand, if you want to add your employees and permit them to use and manage your books, you can upgrade to a higher edition. This will also allow you to utilize more advanced features for a better experience.
Furthermore, I've got an article that guides you to review, add, or match receipts to existing transactions once you upload them in QuickBooks.
Feel free to comment and notify us if you have any QBO concerns or additional questions about the user permissions and uploading receipts in the app. We're just around the corner and ready to assist you.
