Before we proceed, could you clarify if you want to delete a specific account within your Chart of Accounts or close your entire QuickBooks subscription?

If you want to remove an account from your Chart of Accounts, you can do this by making it inactive. This removes it from your financial lists and dropdown menus while preserving your historical data.

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to remove.
  3. Select the dropdown arrow in the Action column and choose Make inactive.
  4. Select Yes, make inactive.

For detailed guidance, please refer to the article on how to make an account inactive in your Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks Online. This article is intended for QuickBooks Online users, but it is also relevant for QuickBooks Sole Trader users.

However, if you are trying to cancel your entire subscription, delete your Intuit user profile, or remove something else, please reply below so we can provide the help you need.
