How do I add new Deatil type to chart of accounts

Adding a new Detail Type to the Chart of Accounts is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online. Let me explain why. Every account type has its specific detail type, and it works as designed by default. Unfortunately, there's no option to add a new Detail Type to your Chart of Accounts.

If you wish to have this option available here in QuickBooks, I can help you send feedback to our Product Development Team. This way, they will review your suggestions and will be taken into consideration.

Here's how:

1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
2. On the top right corner, click the Gear icon.
3. Under the Profile column, select Feedback.
4. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
5. Once ready, click Next to submit feedback.

You can track your suggestions on QuickBooks Online Feature Requests.
