There's currently no in-app setting to adjust the size or layout of the invoice window in the QuickBooks Online iOS app. The layout reflects what's available in your current version, and any changes would come through a future app update from Intuit.

That said, here are a few things you can try in the meantime:

Try QuickBooks in a browser instead

If you open QuickBooks in Safari on your iPad, you get more control over the display:

  • Pinch to zoom in or out directly on the screen.
  • If you have a connected keyboard, use Command + to zoom in and Command - to zoom out.
  • You can also tap the AA icon in Safari's address bar to adjust text size.

Customize your invoice layout

This won't change the window size, but you can adjust how your invoices look. Things like fields, content, and branding, using Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online. Note that template customization needs to be done from a web browser, not the app.

Request this as a feature

If being able to resize the invoice window in the app would help your workflow, you can send that feedback directly to the QuickBooks product team. Open QuickBooks in a web browser, go to the Gear icon, then select

Feedback. Enter your suggestion and select Next. The product team reviews all feedback and considers it for future updates.

Let us know if there's a specific part of the invoice workflow you're finding difficult and we can point you in the right direction.

Hi there, curt.

It's good to have you here in the QuickBooks Community. I can help you adjust the display size in your QuickBooks Online window.

In the meantime, there's no option to change the settings that only apply to QuickBooks. QBO uses and depends on the Windows font settings.

We have a few clicks to change the font size for better viewing. Press the "Ctrl" key and press the "+" or "-" sign simultaneously on your keyboard. This way, you'll have the option to have a larger or smaller size on your invoice page that will suit your liking.

Alternatively, we can change it from your browser. Here's how:

  1. From the upper right, go to the Menu icon.
  2. Locate the Zoom option.
  3. Choose the plus (+) icon to zoom in and make the page larger. Please set it to 100% or lower to display the entire page.

I've also added this article for your reference in case you want to personalize your sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to get back if you have more queries about managing invoices or sales forms. I'd be glad to assist you further. Take care always and best regards.

Sorry, I should have said I’m using the app on an iPad. And when I open the invoice icon to do an invoice the window is really small compared to what it used to be

Thanks for following up with the Community, curtbrowntrucking.

I can certainly understand how an ability to change the display of your home and invoice screens while using the iOS app could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

You can also submit your own feature requests while signed in.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in using a web browser.
  2. Use the Gear (⚙️) icon, then go to Feedback.
  3. Enter your suggestion(s) in the Have feedback? window.
  4. If necessary, attach a file with your Camera (📸) icon.
  5. Select Next.

Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates webpage.

I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have a great day!
