Merging your Intuit payroll account with your QuickBooks Online account cannot be done, Dan242. Let's discuss this in more detail.
When using QuickBooks and managing multiple accounts, combining them isn't possible. However, we can add a new payroll service to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account and export payroll transactions afterward. To export those transactions, you can follow the steps below:
Go to your Intuit payroll account.
Go to the Gear Icon ⚙, then Payroll settings.
In Export, select Edit ✎.
Select your accounting software as QuickBooks Online. A prompt will appear to sign in to your account to synchronize them. After logging in, choose the company where your payroll transactions should sync.
Click Continue.
QuickBooks will make default accounts for your wages, expenses, and liabilities. Click Edit ✎ to customize these accounts as it appears on your QuickBooks chart of accounts.
Once finished, select Done twice.
It is important to note that while most data can be moved to the updated payroll, tax forms, and other entries cannot be exported. I highly recommend reading this article for more information about exporting your data: Export your payroll data into QuickBooks.
In addition, our live support team has the tools to securely pull up your account and explore available solutions if you encounter any issues with the process.
That should point you in the right direction regarding merging your accounts. Need help handling other transactions? Let me know by adding the details of the issue below. I'd be more than happy to assist you again.
