I'm here to walk you through the process of adding a new company file, Jm.
When creating a second company file in QuickBooks Online, please know that each company file requires a subscription. Therefore, you'll need to subscribe to a new plan that meets your needs before you can proceed with creating a new company file. You can visit QuickBooks Online's plans and pricing page and choose the plan that best fits your business requirements.
Once you've subscribed to a new plan, you can add the second company file to your existing Intuit ID by logging in to your account. If you already sign in to QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can choose an account being displayed as you sign in. Afterward, select Yes, that's correct.
On the other hand, a prompt can be seen as you create an account. Don't fill out this form unless you want a new account for your new company file. Instead, navigate to the Adding a company to an existing account? section and click on the Sign In link. Once you have entered your existing user ID and password for QuickBooks Online, your new subscription will be linked to your existing Intuit ID. This will enable you to access both company files from the same account.
