How do I upload a company file from desktop 2020 to online? I've tried multiple times and it gets stuck on the moving your data to the cloud screen.

It's my pleasure to assist you in moving your file from QuickBooks Desktop to the Online version. 

 We can resolve this issue by rebuilding the data file and restarting the export or uploading process. Here's how: 

Step 1: Verify your company data

1. Select Window, then Close All to close all open QuickBooks windows (reports, transactions, and so on).
2. Select File, then Utilities, then Verify Data.
3. If QuickBooks reports a problem, continue to step 2.

Step 2: Rebuild your company data to repair problems

1. Select Window, then Close All to close all open QuickBooks windows (reports, transactions, and so on).
2. Select File, then Utilities, then Rebuild data.
3. If you see the message Rebuild has completed, continue to Step 3.

Step 3: Verify your rebuilt company data

1. Select Window, then Close All to close all open QuickBooks windows (reports, transactions, and so on).
2. Select File, then Utilities, then Verify Data.
3. If you see the message QuickBooks detected no problems with your data, continue to step 4.

Step 4: Start the exporting process again

1. Click this link: Update QuickBooks to the latest release or go to the Help menu.
2. Choose Update QuickBooks. 
3. Close and reopen QuickBooks to install the updates.
4. Select Company, then Export Company File to QuickBooks Online.
5. Follow the onscreen instructions.

Do you need to migrate data from QBD US version to QBO US version? Open your company file and hit f2 key. Make sure your Total Targets < 350K prior to migrating it.
