Question

I am setting up a sales desk area. We will have QB online on a laptop. I want to use a card reader for them to process credit cards and not manual entry...any input?

I have the gopayments app on my phone, but the guys need to be able to use the laptop for when i am busy or out of the office. When I do a mock sales receipt or receive payment, there is an option for swipe card/card reader...

You can order a card reader for QuickBooks GoPayment to help you process payments, @teresa91.

 

For the green QuickBooks GoPayment app:

 

  1. From the home screen, select the More (☰) icon.
  2. Choose Hardware.
  3. Select Order card reader.
  4. Pick the card reader you want and follow the on-screen instructions to complete your order.

 

For the blue QuickBooks GoPayment app:

 

  1. On the home screen, select the Menu (☰) icon.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Choose Order card reader.
  4. Tap Add to Order for your preferred reader.
  5. Specify the quantity and click Check Out.
  6. Follow the on-screen steps to finalize your order.
