When you export to Excel or PDF, QBO saves to the directory last used for a download. (I just tested this using the QBO Demo, and it went to the folder I had last downloaded to, which wasn't even related to QBO or any client... it went to where I had downloaded a business intelligence demo yesterday.)
If you open File Explorer, you can see the last 20 files under Quick Access (that's found at the top of lefthand column). Another way to check where the reports may have gone is to go through the same steps as you normally do to save a report, and watch when the File Explorer window pops up for you to select a directory/folder.
