Question

I cancelled my subscription but it's active through 4/30/26. Now QB won't let me export date to Turbotax OR resume my subscription. Any workarounds?

Turbotax won't let me import directly from their site either. Any fixes to this? Customer Support is terrible.

Hi James,

Thank you for sharing the details of your situation. I appreciate your effort to export your company files and resume the subscriptions. I understand how important it is to keep your records organized and preserve your important files. Let me clarify this further and explain.

Before we proceed, could you let me know why you're unable to export your data? Are you encountering any specific issues, such as an error message, or are you unable to locate the export button or option? Any additional information you provide will help us understand the situation better and offer you tailored support.

Regarding your account status, please note that even though your subscription is cancelled, you retain read-only access for one year (until 04/30/2026). During this period, you can view, print, or export your reports and lists, though you will not be able to edit or add new transactions. We strongly recommend exporting all critical data during this window to ensure you have permanent access to your records.

As for your subscription, QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) is no longer offered to new customers. If the service has been fully discontinued for your account type, resubscribing or renewing may not be possible. Typically, only active subscribers with open accounts retain the option to renew; once an account is cancelled or the service is discontinued, renewals are often disabled.

As for TurboTax specifics, I suggest reaching out to TurboTax support or posting your concern in their TurboTax Community, where experts and users can provide guidance specific to TurboTax issues.

If you have any more questions or encounter further challenges, please don't hesitate to reply or start a new post. I'm here to help. Thank you for sharing your concerns!
