My CFO is wanting to close the books monthly. Do I do that the same way I would for the year? Just keep changing the date?

Yes vshaffer. You can close the books monthly in QuickBooks Online (QBO) in a similar way to how you would for the year.

 

The process involves setting a closing date and a password to lock the completed transactions. By doing this each month, you can ensure that no one can modify the data for that period.
