Quickbooks Desktop Account Name

Changing the Account name doesn't require creating a new account. Update the legal name directly in the company file to change the name shown on your invoices, forms, and reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

Here's how:

1. Go to Company, then choose My Company.
2. Select the Pencil icon, then Legal information.
3. Enter the new legal business name and address, and then click OK.

On the other hand, if you're using QuickBooks Payroll or Payments connected to this file, you may also need to change your Intuit Account name to ensure your billing details, subscription ownership, and business information reflect your new name or self-employed status.
