The moment you're signed in to the account, you'll be prompted to the Billing and Subscription page to Subscribe. This means that the account was successfully canceled.
If not, you can verify that by going to the gear icon and select Account and Settings.
Click the Billing& Subscription menu.
A Resubscribe link under QuickBooks Online indicates that the account is canceled.
