My case number is 15131046996. I received an e-mail from [email address removed] informing me I was approved by QuickBooks, when I never had applied to open an account with QuickBooks. When checking my TurboTax account, I saw three accounts listed, recognized two of them, the third one, I didn't. It turns out that a 'company' by the name of Global Marketing Media was behind the e-mail address that sent it. Contacting QuickBooks, I was promptly helped and assured it was taken care of and that it was taken off my account and no charges were applied. Finally, was asked to report it, which is what I'm doing here. Thanks!
Someone hacked my QuickBooks Online account. They made an invoice, then paid it and had the money instantly transferred. It also says the money is in process of be transferred and will on 7/11/25.

Here are some steps we can take together to protect against theft:
If your QBO account is linked to your bank accounts or payment processors (e.g., PayPal, Stripe), contact those institutions immediately to report possible fraud. Stop or reverse the payment transfer if possible.
Contact their Customer Support team and inform them of the potential fraud and unauthorized transactions. Provide all relevant details about the invoice and payment in question, including the transaction date and amount.
If you can't log in to your account, I suggest sending a privacy report to our Intuit Security email on this link: Contact us.
This company is not taking their role seriously. They hire overseas employees that are harvesting data for only GOD knows for what. I have called asked for the corporate compliance department to be told" We dont have one" asked for supervisor was told there is not one. All speaking to foreign reps, also one rep told me there is no history of me calling in. Im a small business owner using these services to process my customers payments. Please explain why quickbooks is not worried about their employees harvesting or data like my entire social my company is not under my socail so please explain why they need my entire social and my bank account info. This is a major FTC issue, quickbooks has a legal responsibility to safe guard data and they dont appear to even have a compliance department???
Quickbooks does have not only the worst possible fraud division but they truly do not care for there clients. You guys wonder why they dont have ways to contact them? I can tell you its because they dont care, they also prefer to do what they want legal or not. I had fraud and qickbooks treated me like I was the criminal and locked all my accounts with no notice and no emails. The resolution center has not even posted but they took my 5k. You never gave me a chance to dispute anything and quickbooks is also at fault. You know as bussniss owners we are fraud targets and you choose to keep giving back to criminals so we lose.
BEWARE IF YOU HAVE FRAUD WITH QUICKBOOKS YOU HAVE NO SAY, YOU HAVE NO CONTROL, THEY DONT EVEN CONTACT YOU. What they will do is lock you account and as a bussniss owner like the others here, now you are taking from my family. Disputes are law for a reason, quickbooks will reach there hand anywhere and take your money and not apologize for being wrong. BECAREFUL the red flag should be the no phone number and "bob" at a call center making .25cents a hour
I had someone call me claiming they needed further payment to continue my subscription. Came from phone #XXX-XXX-XXXX. She also gave me XXX-XXX-XXXX to call back to verify it wasn't fraudulent. It clearly was, as this is not how QB works.
If you're seeing unexpected transactions in your checking account or if any incorrect bank data is showing, you can always share those details here.
At this time, reach out to your bank to report fraud on your account, as they can examine unauthorized transactions and temporarily hold your account if necessary.
