To add an accountant to your books, you'll need to send them an invitation.

 

Here's how:
 

  1. Sign in as a primary admin.
  2. Use the Gear icon, then go to Manage users.
  3. Click to your Accountants or Accounting firms tab.
  4. Enter the accountant's email address.
  5. Select Invite.

 

After inviting your accountant, they'll receive an email about their invitation. You'll know they've accepted it when the status on your Manage users page changes from "Invited" to "Active".

 

The accountant will get a link to access your company file if they already have an Accountant subscription. If they don't, they'll need to sign up. Signing up is free and gives them access to all of the features available in your version of QuickBooks at no cost to you.
