We're considering using QBO for invoicing & online payments. We want to know if it's possible to add a mandatory fee/surcharge for people who pay via Credit card?

Currently, the option to add a credit card processing fee or surcharge directly to invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is unavailable.

However, you can manually add this fee by creating a separate service item as "Processing Fee." and then include it as a line item on invoices when customers pay by credit card as a workaround. This method allows you to pass on processing costs transparently.

Here's how you can do it:

1. Go to the Gear icon, then choose Products and Services.
   
   
2. Click on New, then select Service.
   
   
3. Enter the name of your service item. (For example; Processing Fee).
4. Select the account you'd use to track the processing fees.
5. Then, click Save and Close.

They don't provide such feature. You need to use a 3rd party payment processor to sync with QBO. Are you B2B or B2C?
