Allow me to share some insight into why mileage expenses do not appear in the Profit and Loss report in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), AS123.

Mileage expenses are not included in the Profit & Loss report because this report only reflects income and expenses. Mileage is considered as deductible expense, tracked separately in QuickBooks Self-Employed under the Miles section. You can open the Mileage log report to view mileage data. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu and find the Mileage log.
  2. Choose appropriate year.
  3. Then, click View or click the drop-down arrow to download.

You can check this article for more tips: Track mileage in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Keep your post coming if you have more concerns about mileage and running reports in QBSE.
