While waiting for others who might be experiencing the same issue, Ryan, let me share some common errors related to pulling in bank transactions and how we can resolve them in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

An error often occurs due to the following:

  • Issues on the bank's servers are affecting connectivity.
  • Temporary disruptions or maintenance on the bank's side.
  • Errors indicating connection problems between the bank and QuickBooks.
  • Outdated or corrupted bank account setup in QuickBooks Online.

To isolate, let's check your bank’s website for any maintenance issues that might prevent the application from automatically downloading your transactions.

Once logged in, look for updates, messages, or notifications about required actions, such as:

  • New terms of service
  • Maintenance or site change announcements
  • New offers

If there are none, we can proceed with a manual update to trigger the application to download the latest transactions. Follow the steps below to get started:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. From there, select Bank Transactions.
  3. Click the Update button to refresh the transactions.

You can also refer to this article for specific solutions to bank errors: Troubleshoot and fix banking errors.

Alternatively, you can manually import a CSV file to upload your transactions directly into your bank feeds. If the existing issues are resolved, transactions from your bank will automatically download, potentially causing duplicates. In that case, you can exclude the duplicates from your bank feeds. For more details, see: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions about banking or QuickBooks. We will be happy to help you with it.
