How does a retail business enter cash register takings in quickbooks

Cash register takings can be entered in QuickBooks Online using a sales receipt. We've created a guide that covers how to record daily sales takings from a point-of-sale system, but the same method can be used for different frequencies (i.e. weekly or monthly takings).
