You can use pdf2qbo as a workaround to import historical data.

It's not a bank issue, info2348. I'll share some information regarding online banking.

Please note that some banks let you download up to 24 months of data. However, since your bank only allows downloads for the past three months, you'll have to manually upload older transactions.

To do this, sign in to your bank's website and download the statements covering the needed date range. Ensure that the statements are in the correct format. Since NatWest provides statements as PDF files, you'll have to convert them into a supported file type (CSV or QBO), using a third-party converter tool.

Once ready, let's import them into QuickBooks. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Bank transactions menu.
  2. Select the Link account dropdown, then choose Upload from file.
  3. Click Drag and drop or select files, select the file you downloaded from your bank, then Continue.
  4. In the Select account dropdown, choose the account you want to upload the transactions into, and then select Continue.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns in the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks, then Continue.
  6. Select the transactions you would like to import, then Continue.
  7. Hit Yes to confirm, then Done.

Once the transactions are in, you can categorise the transactions into the existing entries in QBO. Doing so will help ensure your financial records are accurate.
