We can work on some troubleshooting steps to rectify the error message you encountered when reconnecting your bank account in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Usertn-tax-7.

First, can you let us know the name of your bank? This will help us focus on the right solution and get closer to fixing the problem.

In the meantime, I recommend logging into your bank's website to see if there are any maintenance or system issues on their end. Connection problems can occur when the bank is updating systems or experiencing an outage.

If everything is fine on your bank's end, try accessing your QBO account in a different supported browser to rule out browser-related issues. From there, kindly re-authenticate your bank connection. Alternatively, you can manually upload your transactions using a CSV file.

Reach out to the Community if you have questions about connecting your bank to QuickBooks.

The banks that we have had an issue with so far is NatWest mettle and HSBC kinetic - same issue for two different clients which leads me to believe that QB is the issue..

There are no maintenance or system issues with the bank and I have tried to open QBO in another browser (chrome) with the same issue.

The linked account will show but when I click on the three dots to renew the connection a message appears to say "something unexpected happened".

We don't want to manually upload bank transactions because this defeats the main reason of our client subscribing to quickbooks.  Please can you look into this issue ASAP
