Question

I unlinked my bank account to move to a new bank and now I seem to have lost all my data from the last two years. Is it possible to restore the information?

Hi there, Stylist. Yes, you can restore your transactions by manually importing them through a CSV file to keep your records accurate.

Unlinking your bank account from QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) will delete all associated financial data from the platform.

Before uploading your file, ensure it follows QuickBooks' formatting rules to prevent errors during the import process.

Here are the steps to import your transactions:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Imports transactions.
  3. Choose Import older transactions for the account you want to update.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps.
