My square transaction are being integrated into quickbooks which is causing my income to double. How do I stop this? I am unable to delete the square chart of account

Let's first check your QuickBooks Online (QBO)transactions, @osheaskn.

 

Before we proceed, could you confirm if you have created an entry in QBO? This will help us provide a tailored solution to resolve the issue effectively.

 

Please note that when we connect the app, transactions will automatically download into the system. If you have created new Square transactions in QBO, it is advisable to delete them to avoid double income.

 

You also mentioned that you can't delete the Square chart of accounts. We cannot delete an account in QBO, especially if there are transactions; however, we can make it inactive. Doing so will still not fix or remove the duplicate income.

 

To prevent duplicate transactions in QuickBooks, consider the following:

 

  • Don't use multiple apps or tools to download transactions from Square. Only use the Square by Commerce Sync app.
  • Don't import transactions using different tools for dates you've already imported.
  • Don't download transactions for overlapping dates.
