Hi Zieman,

Thank you for reaching out. Reconnecting your Alerus bank account to QuickBooks Online (QBO) can sometimes be tricky, but it is certainly possible, and many users have successfully done so.

To ensure we provide the best solution for your case, could you please share a bit more detail? Are you encountering any error messages when trying to reconnect? Which part of the reconnection process is giving you trouble?

Meanwhile, make sure to review these factors that might help resolve the issue:

  • Verify your bank login credentials (username and password) are correct.
  • Ensure that the bank account is supported for connections to QuickBooks Online.
  • Check the Alerus bank website to see if there are any system maintenance alerts.

If those factors are fine, you can also disconnect the account completely and then reconnect it as a fresh setup. This can often resolve lingering sync issues.

The process can be done through your Chart of Accounts. Here's how:

  1. Select Chart of Accounts from the Gear icon.
  2. Look for the account you want to link.
  3. Tap on the dropdown menu under Action.
  4. Click on Connect bank.

  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to proceed.

Another option for you is to reconnect it through the Banking page. Here's a reference for you: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

If you have any other banking questions or concerns about QuickBooks, never hesitate to leave a reply below. We'd be happy to provide further help.
