By reconciling your account, you ensure the accuracy and authenticity of your financial data. After receiving your bank statement, you must match each transaction in QuickBooks to what is documented on your actual bank statement. When you reconcile, you must keep track of what has been cleared from your bank and what has been left unresolved.
