The process varies depending on whether your bank supports QuickBooks Online (QBO), Cindy174.

You cannot download the file directly from QuickBooks Online. If your bank doesn't support QBO. You need to download it from your bank's website or app. Then, you can convert the downloaded PDF file to a CSV file and manually import it to QBO. Here's how:

  1. Select the tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into, if present.
  2. Select the "Link Account" dropdown menu, then choose "Upload from the file."
  3. Select Drag and drop or select files, and choose the file you downloaded from your bank. Then, select Continue.
  4. In the QuickBooks account dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then, select Continue.
  5. Match the columns in the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then hit Continue.
  6. Pick the transactions you would like to import. Then click Continue.
  7. Choose Yes and tap Done.

You can visit this reference article to guide you with the correct format: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions.

If it is supported, you can connect it directly to QBO to automatically download bank transactions. Please refer to this article for detailed steps: Connect bank and credit card accounts.

I'll share this article whenever you'd like to review categories for automatically downloaded transactions in QBO: Categorize online bank transactions.

Please keep us posted if you have other questions or concerns.
