I'm here to help and provide some insights about verifying your test transaction in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
After signing up for a Direct Deposit, Intuit makes two small withdrawals of less than $1.00 each from the bank account you set up. A test transaction should appear in your bank account in 2 business days. You can verify the amount either by checking your bank statement online or by calling your bank.
In your QuickBooks account, you can verify your test transaction in two ways. It's either by selecting the Payroll menu or through the Payroll settings window. Let me guide you on how:
Go to the Payroll menu and then Overview.
From your To Do List, select Let's Go on Check your bank account item.
Click Verify Amount.
Enter and confirm the transaction amount (no decimal point).
Select Verify.
In case you don't have the New payroll tasks button, here's another way to verify test transaction:
Go to the Gear icon.
Select Payroll Settings.
Under Bank Accounts, select Company.
Select Verify Account, then enter and confirm the amount.
Please take note that we only get one attempt to verify your test transaction. If you aren't successful, contact Payroll Support for assistance.
