Question

I have a previous bank statement that was automatically downloaded and shows as unreconciled, but the account is reconciled. How do I remove it?

Let me assist you in removing the auto-downloaded bank statements in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Refreshing the connection with your bank caused QuickBooks to download the previous bank statement. To resolve this, if the transactions are still in the "For Review" tab, exclude them. Refer to the steps below:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Select the For Review tab.
  3. Select the checkbox of the transactions to exclude.
  4. Select Exclude.

On the other hand, if the transactions are already in the register, undo them to move them back to the "For Review" tab, then exclude them from there.

Here's how to undo it:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Select the tile for the bank or credit card account you downloaded the transaction from.
  3. Select the Categorized tab.
  4. Find the transaction you want to delete.
  5. Select Undo from the Action column.
