Once a reconciliation is completed in QuickBooks, you can’t directly change the ending date. However, you can undo and redo the reconciliation with the correct date.
Go to Accounting -> Reconcile, select the account, and choose Undo Last Reconciliation (if you’re an admin).
To update the ending date of the account you have already reconciled, you'll need to manually undo the reconciliation of each transaction of an account, Lori. I'll provide you with the steps.
Here's how to manually undo reconciled transactions of an account:
Go to Transactions, then Chart of Accounts.
Select the account that you will undo the reconciliation to put the correct ending date.
Click View Register.
4. Under the column of a checkmark, you can see the R which means reconciled. Click the R, then change it to blank to undo.
After unreconciling the account, you can now begin to reconcile again and successfully put the ending date for the efficiency and accuracy of the transaction of each account.
