Question

Navy Federal Bank is suddenly downloading debits and credits for the same deposit. When I try to delete one, both transactions are deleted.

Let’s work together to ensure your bank transactions are accurately recorded in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To start, I recommend excluding the affected transactions and manually uploading your banking transactions. 

Here’s how you can exclude the affected transactions with these steps:
 

  1. Go to the Bank Transactions page under the Accounting tab.
  2. Choose the bank account with the affected transactions.
  3. Tick the checkboxes for the transactions to exclude, then click Exclude.

After excluding the affected transactions, they will show up on the Excluded page. Next, download a QBO-supported file of these transactions from your bank and upload it to QBO. 

Here’s how:
 

  1. On the Banking page, click the drop-down arrow next to Link Account.
  2. Select Upload from file, then choose your QBO-supported bank file.
  3. Follow the prompts to map your file fields to QuickBooks.
  4. When finished, click Done to complete the upload.
