Quickbooks payments and auto matching

Is it possible to have errors when using auto matching for sales invoices paid by credit card from the customer? I would assume that when the customer pays an invoice by credit card, that quickbooks would automatically match the exact  invoice paid.

Yes, not all payments can automatically be matched to the exact invoice in QuickBooks, Salessio0564.

 

The software won’t automatically match credit card payments to their corresponding invoices if your bank doesn't assign a unique user ID for QuickBooks Payments. In such cases, you'll need to match them manually to ensure your records are accurate and up-to-date.
