Let's make sure you can successfully import your square transactions, cindy153.
We've been investing resources to improve your experience with this integration. For now, Sync with Square no longer works for transaction import. All merchants are required to upgrade to Connect with Square. To do so, you'll have to set up QuickBooks first. Once done, set up the Connect to Square app. Here's how:
You’ll need to grant permission for QuickBooks and Square to share product details. Select Give permission.
In the new tab that opens, enter your Square account login credentials, then select Sign in.
Select the Square locations you want to sync with QuickBooks. Then, use the dropdown menu to select the bank account where you want to deposit that location’s sales. Select Next.
For each of the selected Square locations, choose whether you want the app to import sales individually, or as a summary of your daily sales. Select Next.
Use the dropdown menu to select a starting date for the transactions you want to bring in. Later, you’ll be able to choose which transactions you want to add to QuickBooks.
Select Finish.
Once done, you'll have to review your Square transactions. For more information on the key differences between Sync with Square app versus the Connect to Square app, check out this article for more details. Migrate Your Square Integration In QuickBooks Online.
