Hi thomjordan,

Some banks will only ask you to enter the bank login credentials. To get the business code, I'd recommend contacting your bank. Once you have the information, try connecting your bank account again.

Feel free to reach out to us if you have any other questions. Thanks.

That's an utterly useless response.  I have spent hours on the phone with Citi and they are not aware of such a thing.

Quickbooks needs to define or give an explanation of what it is.

Hello, Waltoz. I understand how frustrating it can be when a requirement like this isn't clearly defined or explained. When QuickBooks prompts for a specific identifier during bank account setup, this is a security measure requested by your financial institution.

Please note that QuickBooks relies on the information provided by banks to authorize connectivity for compliance with the bank's security protocols.

Since you have confirmed with Citi that they are unaware of such a code, it might be worth checking their online portal for any pending security notifications or account authorizations that could be required to enable connectivity.

You could also inquire further with Citi regarding any specific restrictions or settings that may apply to your account type.

We appreciate your patience as we work to understand your situation. Our team will keep this conversation available for any follow-up updates or questions.
