Hello, @deanslistwoodwor. I'll provide an alternative method to help you in linking your bank account with QuickBooks.
To determine why you're unable to link your bank account, could you please provide the name of your bank and describe the error message you see when attempting to connect your bank account? Any information will help.
In the meantime, you can use the incognito mode to link your bank. If it doesn't work, use an alternative browser or device.
After your bank transactions have been recorded, it's important to categorize them to ensure that they appear in the right category on your Schedule C.
Fee free to share any additional questions or concerns you have about connecting your bank account to QuickBooks. We'll keep an eye on your feedback regarding the bank name and any error messages your receive while linking your bank account. Have a good one
My bank account is through Novo. I do not get any error messages, after I finish the steps to connect the account Quickbooks acts like it connects but doesn't actually pull anything into the Transactions ledger. I can log out and back in and nothing new is there. The Connect Account button is still active and it acts like it does not connect. I've tried in Chrome and Edge and both in InPrivate and Incognito and both get the same result, nothing new pulls in.
I appreciate you using the alternative method to link your bank account to QuickBooks Online Self-Employed (QBSE). Since there's no error messages and QBO depends on the information provided by your bank, I suggest checking your bank website to verify if there are alerts or notifications.
If you don't find any, I'd recommend reaching out to your financial institution for further assistance. In the meantime, you can manually upload your bank transactions to QBO.
I'm also adding these articles to provide comprehensive instructions on the next process after you've successfully uploaded transactions in QBO:
Thanks for the reply. I started with my financial institution when this problem first started occurring. I have not had any use of Quickbooks for about 4 months while trying to get this resolved. My financial institution has said that it is nothing on their end, it has to be something on Quickbooks end. So now I've got both sides blaming the other.
I'm also having difficulty upload CSV files and have a separate thread open on that issue. Manually uploading transactions is not working either.
