Currently, the option to add new columns such as one for deposit payable is not an option on the quote templates in QuickBooks Online. The current options are Date, Product/Service/Category (Activity), Description, GST, Quantity, Rate, Amount and SKU. If you need to add another field on the invoice, you could look at using custom fields instead:
Select the Settings icon (top right), then Custom Form Styles.
Select Edit next to the quote template of your choice, or select New Style > Quote.
Click on the Content tab and select the top third of the invoice to edit.
In the Display section, choose +Custom field. Tick the field, give it a name and select Done.
When you create a quote, you will now see the custom field as an option. You will need to manually enter the percentage or amount as needed. While adding new columns is not a feature, I would be more than happy to pass this insight on to the product enhancement team for consideration in a future update. I would also encourage you to submit any improvement ideas using the Settings icon > Feedback - we take all customer feedback on board to improve your experience when using QuickBooks Online.
