how do I record credit card interest charge?

Hi there, @info2378. You can record this interest charge via an expense transaction. However, you'll need to create an expense category for credit card interest fees first.

Go to the Gear icon > Chart of Accounts > New account > Account name > Account type (Expense), and other important account details. Once done, click Save.

Please seek advice from an accountant here to avoid incorrect categorisation.

If you already have an account for this transaction, you can now proceed with creating an expense entry and ensure to select the credit card interest charge from the Category details section.
