Thank you for reaching out, Rowena. This mismatch is often caused by the difference between live market conversion rates and the specific rate used by your bank.

Could you please clarify if this mismatch is specifically related to downloaded transactions that are being recorded in USD?

If so, we can resolve this using the Multi-currency feature (available in QuickBooks Online Essentials, Plus, and Advanced). This allows you to record foreign transactions while accurately converting them to your home currency.

Note: Once multicurrency is enabled, you can no longer change your home currency.

To enable Multi-currency:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then choose Account and settings.
  2. Select Advanced.
  3. In the Currency section, select Edit.

  4. From the Home Currency dropdown, select your currency.
  5. Toggle the Multicurrency checkbox and confirm that you understand that you can't undo this option.

  6. Then Save.

QuickBooks updates these rates every 4 hours, but you can always manually enter your own exchange rates if they don't match your bank's.

To Revalue Currency (if Multi-currency is already on):

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Currencies.
  2. Find the currency you want to adjust.
  3. Under the Actions column, select the small arrow icon.
  4. Click on Revalue Currency.
  5. Filter the date (today or a day in the past) to run a currency revaluation.

  6. Choose whether you'd like the revaluation to be based on the market exchange rate or a rate you specify.
  7. Select the account(s) you want to apply the revaluation to.
  8. Then, Revalue and save.

If the feed continues to sync incorrectly, you can exclude the current transactions and upload them manually, ensuring they include the updated exchange rates. Please ensure the file is in the CSV format, as this is the standard required for uploading. If the file is not in CSV format, convert it to CSV before attempting to upload to ensure proper compatibility with the system.

I know how tricky it can be to get those balances to line up perfectly. Let me know if enabling Multi-currency does the trick for you, or if we need to take a closer look at those manual imports together.
