I have a bank account balance where the register balance in the reconciliation is showing a balance that is different than the balance in the chart of account. ? to fix

There are several factors why bank register balance in QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn’t match your actual bank balance. These are due to the following:

  • Outstanding transactions.
  • New transactions for a connected account. 
  • Duplicate transactions. 
  • Edited or deleted transactions. 
  • Credit card (liability) account. 

To isolate the issue, I recommend reviewing your beginning balance. Since to reconcile your account accurately, the beginning balance in QBO should match the beginning balance on your bank statement. You can take a look at these articles for the detailed steps:
