Question

I'm trying to find Santander Mexico as a financial institution on the platform, but I can't. However, their bank integration page says they do support Santander Mexico.

Hi, Daniel. Your bank not appearing during the setup process is due to compatibility issues or variations in how the name is listed. Ensure the spelling matches your bank’s name exactly as it appears on its official website to narrow the search. Let's go through your options.

Try the following options to link your bank:

  • Search for the exact name of the bank, using specific terms. If the correct name doesn’t show up, try broader terms like “HSBC” or simplified variations.
  • Enter the bank’s webpage URL directly in the search bar, such as “hsbc.com.” Sometimes searching through the URL provides better results.
  • Look up the name of the issuing bank (if applicable). If your account is tied to another institution, searching for that institution can help locate it.

If you’ve tried all these and it still doesn’t appear, you can submit a request for QuickBooks to add support for your financial institution:

  1. Navigate to My apps,  Accounting, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Choose Connect account.
  3. Search for the name of your financial institution. If QuickBooks is unable to find your bank, you will get the message, "Hmm, we can’t find [name of the bank you entered] in our list of supported providers".
  4. Enter your Account provider name and Account provider sign-in URL, then click Request.

While waiting for approval, you can still manage your transactions by manually uploading them into QuickBooks.

These steps should resolve the problem and allow you to move forward with connecting your bank. If anything else comes up or you need additional assistance, we'll be happy to assist you further in the comment section.
