Does anyone have this issue when trying to connect a BMO bank account in QBO: I only have User ID and PW but no Customer ID?

When I'm connecting to my bank account online, I only enter my card number and PW. QBO is asking me for Customer ID (which I don't have), User ID (which I assume is my card number) and password (the same as I use to connect online). I tried to leave Customer ID field blank but it's not working.

The information required to connect your bank to QuickBooks depends on your financial institution, Teodora.

 

When connecting your bank to QuickBooks, your credentials are a key part of the login security. This includes your Customer ID, which is a unique identifier for your company that only your bank can provide. Therefore, I recommend contacting your bank directly to obtain your Customer ID so you can proceed with connecting your BMO account to QuickBooks.

 

Alternatively, you can choose a different link for BMO that doesn't require a Customer ID.
